What Happens After Your Estimate

You’ve got your quote in hand. Here’s exactly how it goes from estimate to installed system.

No pressure — just a clear path. Your estimate is good-faith, itemized, and yours to think over. Whenever you’re ready, here’s the road from “yes” to a running system, and who’s handling each step.

The Road From Estimate to Install

1

Review your options — and ask us anything

Your estimate lays out the option(s) we discussed, itemized with equipment, scope, and any rebate applied as a discount. Compare, sleep on it, get other quotes if you want. Questions about anything on it — a line item, an equipment choice, “what if we did X instead” — call or text your comfort advisor. Adjusting an estimate is normal and takes minutes.

2

Sort the money side (we make this easy)

  • Qualifying Mass Save® rebates are already shown as a discount on your estimate — no rebate chasing
  • Want a monthly payment? Financing applications take minutes through our lending partners, and we’ll walk you through the 0% Mass Save HEAT Loan if your project qualifies
  • We’ll happily re-run the numbers on any option so you’re comparing apples to apples
3

Approve your estimate

One signature — right from your phone or email. Your signed estimate locks in scope, equipment, and price, and any deposit or payment schedule is spelled out on it. That signature is what kicks everything else into motion.

4

We schedule & order

Our office calls to lock your installation date — most projects land within a couple of weeks of signing, subject to equipment availability and season. Behind the scenes we order your equipment, stage materials, and handle any pre-work your project scope includes (like permitting coordination, when included).

5

Install day

The crew arrives, protects your home, does the changeout, commissions the system, walks you through it, and cleans up. The full play-by-play is on our What to Expect on Installation Day page — including a prep checklist worth doing the night before.

6

After the install

We register your warranty, complete rebate and program paperwork, coordinate the inspection when your project scope includes one, and check in. Your New System Care Guide covers filters, maintenance, and what’s normal in the first weeks.

One honest note on timing: rebate amounts are set per program year and have been stepping down, popular equipment can back-order in peak season, and install calendars fill fastest right when the weather turns. None of that is pressure to sign today — it’s just the stuff worth knowing while you decide.

Common Questions

The validity period is printed on your estimate. Equipment costs and rebate program terms change over time, so an old estimate may need refreshing — if yours has aged, call us and we’ll update it quickly (often nothing changes).
Before equipment is ordered, changes are usually easy — call your comfort advisor. After ordering, changes may affect price and timeline; we’ll always tell you exactly what a change means before you commit to it.
Any deposit or payment schedule is stated clearly on your estimate — there are no charges that aren’t written there. Financing customers follow their lender’s schedule instead.
It moves with the season — most installs land within a couple of weeks of signing, faster for no-heat/no-AC situations, longer at peak. When you sign, the office gives you real dates, not a vague window.
Bring it to us — seriously. We’ll walk through it line by line with you. Sometimes the difference is equipment tier or scope (things like electrical, permits-when-included, commissioning, or rebate handling that aren’t in the other number). If comparing apples to apples we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you that too.
No. We’ll check in once or twice to see if questions came up, and we’re here when you’re ready. If your system dies in the meantime — call, we prioritize no-heat and no-AC calls.

The Fine Print

Scope of this page

This page describes 3R’s typical process from estimate to installation and is provided for your convenience. It is not a contract and does not modify the terms of your written estimate or installation agreement — including price, scope, validity period, deposit, and payment terms. If anything here differs from your signed documents, your signed documents control.

Timelines & availability

Scheduling estimates, lead times, and equipment availability vary with season, demand, and supply chains and are not guaranteed. Confirmed dates are provided by our office at scheduling.

Rebates & financing

Rebates and incentives are third-party programs subject to their own terms, funding, eligibility, and change without notice; treatment of any anticipated rebate on your estimate is per that estimate’s terms. Financing is subject to credit approval and governed by the lender’s terms. 3R is not a lender and does not provide tax advice.
