Do Mitsubishi heat pumps work in a Massachusetts winter?
Yes. Hyper-Heating (H2i) models are built to keep their heating capacity in single-digit outdoor temperatures, which is why we use them for whole-home heating on the South Shore.
What warranty do I get with a Diamond Contractor install?
A Mitsubishi system installed by a Diamond Contractor in a single-family home and registered within 90 days carries 12 years on parts and 12 years on the compressor. We handle the registration.
Ductless or ducted — which do I need?
Ductless wall, floor or ceiling units work in homes with no ductwork, additions and problem rooms. Ducted air handlers use existing or new ductwork for a hidden install. Many homes use a mix on one outdoor unit.
Can a heat pump replace my oil or gas heat?
Often, yes. Many South Shore homes heat entirely with cold-climate heat pumps. Some keep the existing boiler or furnace as backup. We do a room-by-room load calculation to tell you which makes sense.
Does it need yearly maintenance?
Yes. Clean or check the filters regularly and have the system serviced every year: coil and drain cleaning, refrigerant and electrical checks. The Total Care Club keeps it on schedule.
