Ross Hunt, Owner and CEO of 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Ross Hunt

Owner & CEO · 15 yrs in trade · 5 yrs at 3R

I love educating homeowners and explaining plumbing and HVAC issues in terms anyone can understand.

A U.S. Army veteran who deployed to Afghanistan and spent years stationed in Germany, Ross came home and built his career across residential, commercial, and industrial work. That range is why he can walk into almost any basement and explain what is happening in plain language. Most homeowners were never taught how these systems work, and he takes the time to change that. Outside the shop: travel, history, and time with his family.

Marc Bettcher, Field Manager at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Marc Bettcher

Field Manager · 14 yrs in trade · 4 yrs at 3R

I love turning problems into solved problems — walking into a stressful situation and walking out having made it disappear.

Marc runs the field team day to day, which means he sees more systems in a week than most homeowners see in a lifetime. He is who dispatch calls when a job turns complicated, and who the apprentices learn the trade from. Fourteen years in, he still measures a good day by how many people stopped worrying because of something his crew did that morning.

Kate Sullivan, Marketing Director at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Kate Sullivan

Marketing Director · 10 yrs in marketing

Differentiating ourselves with the quality of our work, our promptness, and the ease of the experience is the purpose behind my role.

Kate brings a decade of digital marketing, graphic design, and sales across healthcare, telecom, and banking to a trade that rarely gets that kind of attention. Her job is making sure hiring 3R feels as clean and considered as the work itself. New to mechanical contracting and asking all the right questions. Mom of three, and always up for a trip somewhere new.

Meghan Budinger, Customer Service Representative at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Meghan Budinger

Customer Service · 2 yrs in trade · 2 yrs at 3R

Being the first point of contact for 3R — setting things in motion to find solutions to difficult and often costly issues.

Meghan is the voice on the other end when the heat quits on a Sunday or there is water where it should not be. She works out what is actually happening, who needs to go, and how fast — the difference between a bad day and a handled one. Two years in, and she still runs the whole operation on pen and paper.

David Sevieri, Comfort Advisor at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

David Sevieri

Comfort Advisor · 17 yrs in trade · 1 yr at 3R

Getting to know our clients, their families, and their homes, then earning their trust to make meaningful improvements to their comfort. I also love meeting all your pets.

Seventeen years in, David spent most of them as a NATE-certified service technician before moving into system design — so he specs equipment knowing exactly how it gets installed and serviced later. B.S. in Industrial Technology, valedictorian of his HVACR program, EPA 608 Universal and OSHA 30 certified. Red Sox and Bruins fan who plays guitar and bass around Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Nick Yukich, Senior Plumbing and HVAC Technician at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Nick Yukich

Senior Plumbing & HVAC Tech · 10 yrs in trade · 2 yrs at 3R

Knowing I can make our customers’ lives easier. I love going above and beyond to catch things they did not realize needed attention.

Nick grew up between Texas and North Carolina before landing on the South Shore, and the mix gave him a wide outlook and real persistence when a job fights back. He runs both plumbing and HVAC, which makes him the tech you want in a house where the two systems are tangled together. Gets a round of golf in before his shift when the schedule allows.

Mitchell Cooper, Lead Technician at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Mitchell Cooper

Lead Technician · 5 yrs in trade · 2 yrs at 3R

Figuring out what is wrong, explaining it in a way they understand, and leaving knowing they are happy with the work.

Mitchell leads jobs in the field, which means diagnosing the real problem, walking the homeowner through it without the jargon, and making sure the repair holds up. Five years in the trade and already running crews. Outside work he is into motorcycles — riding them and wrenching on them, roughly the same instinct that makes him good at this.

Bryan Welch, HVAC Mechanic at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Bryan Welch

HVAC Mechanic · 22 yrs in trade · 1 yr at 3R

Making their home comfortable.

Twenty-two years makes Bryan the most experienced mechanic on our field team, and there is not much in a New England basement he has not already seen twice. He is deliberate, unhurried, and the one newer techs get paired with. After all that time he still says the best part is the people. Two little kids who are his world, and anything outdoors.

Kaio Reis, Plumber at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Kaio Reis

Plumber · 8 yrs in trade · 3 yrs at 3R

Making them happy — that is the whole job.

Three years at 3R gives Kaio the longest tenure on the field team, with eight in the trade behind it. He has been here through most of the company’s growth, and he knows how we do things well enough to set the standard newer guys work to. Patriots fan, golfer, and paintballer, happiest with friends and family around.

Franco DosSantos, Plumber at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Franco DosSantos

Plumber · 4 yrs in trade · 1 yr at 3R

Helping people solve complicated problems that improve their biggest investment, and showing them preventive maintenance.

Franco takes on the problems that are not simple, and he is deliberate about showing homeowners the maintenance that keeps them from coming back a second time. For most people a house is the biggest thing they will ever buy, and he works on it accordingly. On working here he keeps it short: the team at 3R is like no other.

Nolan George, Apprentice at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

Nolan George

Apprentice · 1 yr in trade · 1 yr at 3R

Making sure they are satisfied and gaining their trust. I want every customer we come in contact with to fully believe in 3R.

Straight out of high school Nolan spent seven years building and servicing in-ground pools. The plumbing was always the part he liked most, and eventually it pulled him into the trade full time — so he arrived with more hands-on water experience than most first-year apprentices. Creative, curious, and always looking for a good adventure.

John Post, HVAC Apprentice at 3R Plumbing & Mechanical

John Post

HVAC Apprentice · 1 yr in trade · 1 yr at 3R

It is especially rewarding when I can turn a stressful situation into a positive experience.

John is a year into HVAC and already focused on the part that matters most: showing up when a system has failed and leaving the homeowner confident it is handled. He is learning it from a field team carrying a combined century in the trade. An outdoors guy — snowboarding, fishing, hiking, anything that gets him outside.

FROM OUR FIELD MANAGER

Marc’s Quick Tips

Five things Marc wishes every homeowner knew.

  • A dirty air filter can cut your system’s efficiency by up to 15% — real money leaking out every month over a $10 part.
  • Your outdoor condenser needs at least two feet of clearance on all sides to breathe. Grass clippings and mulch piled against it are quietly starving it of airflow.
  • Refrigerant does not get used up like gas in a car. If a system is low, it is leaking somewhere.
  • One faucet dripping once per second wastes over 3,000 gallons a year.
  • Clanking pipes are not “just an old house thing.” That is your plumbing asking for attention.
